Wapella Township is now accepting bids for the mowing of four cemeteries in Wapella Township. For bid information contact Lindsay Donovan, township clerk at 217-855-1942. Mail bids to Wapella Township, 704 Walnut Circle, Wapella, IL 61777. All bids along with proof of insurance must be received by January 1, 2024. Bids will be opened January 9, 2024 at 7 pm in the Wapella Township Office. Wapella Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

REQUIREMENTS FOR MOWING CEMETERIES IN WAPELLA TOWNSHIP

1. Cemeteries to be mowed are Sugar Grove, Long Point, Crum and St. Patricks.
2. Cemeteries must be mowed and trimmed on a weekly basis during the months of April, May, June, July, August, September, and October or as needed in those months.
3. All grass and debris must be removed from all headstones after each mowing.
4. Payment will be made one time a month on the second Tuesday of each month
5. Three year contracts are encouraged.
6. Proof of insurance must be provided with bid.

8. Bids must be received by January 1, 2024 to be considered.
