The Clinton Elks Lodge Americanism committee on Thursday presented its 2017 Americanism essay awards to three seventh grade students at Clinton Junior High School. Front, left to right, 1st place Sophie Young, 2nd place Trinity Morris, and 3rd place Morgan Drozs. Each student also received $50. With the students, left to right, Darvin Volker, Rob Volker and Bob Van Apeldoorn, of Clinton Elks, and CJHS English teacher Bob Hill awarded for his help with the essay program. This year’s essay theme was “Pick a Hero.”
