Jonathan Inman holds what is possibly a state record drum perch he caught in Clinton Lake early Thursday morning. With Inman is Conservation Officer John Williamson, who accompanied Inman to Decatur to have the fish weighed. No local certified scales were available that could handle more than 30 pounds. Inman's fish weighed in at 38 pounds. A state biologist must take samples and certify the record. The current record was set in 1958.
