CLINTON — With all the delays and postponements of sports this year, the seasons are jostled and teams are at a loss for players.

Some have opted out of certain sports for the season, and others have combined freshman, junior varsity (JV), and varsity into one varsity team to be able to field enough players for game time.  And some schools do not offer certain sports.

So, enter freshman soccer player Makayla Koeppel. Clinton has no soccer program, so when asked by the football staff if she would be interested in being a kicker for the team, she said yes.

Of course, there has been a learning curve between kicking a soccer ball and a football.  And the team assisting her had to adjust to an angle kicking player rather than your normal straight on kicker.  But, the staff and players have all supported her efforts to help the team.
