Alice K. Rettke, 67, of Bloomington, passed away at 5:45 p.m., Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at her home.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. Father Byambaasa Rogers, OSF St. Joseph Medical Center Chaplain will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Monday, June 5, 2017 at the funeral home. A private family graveside service is scheduled.
Memorials may be directed to OSF Hospice.
Alice was born May 13, 1950 in Bloomington, the daughter of Delmar V. and Clara June Edgington Rettke.
She is survived by a daughter, Nichole “Nikki” (Gary) Welch of Clinton; a grandson, Clayton; two sisters, Margaret (Thomas) Wilson and Linda McDonald, both of Franklin Grove, IL; and a brother, Robert (Rhea) Rettke of Fort Worth, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Elliot Rettke.
Alice graduated from Bloomington High School in 1969 and attended Holy Trinity Church. She worked at the Eureka Company for many years and retired from State Farm Insurance Companies.
Alice was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed vacationing in Florida. She especially enjoyed going to her grandson’s sporting events and never missed a game.
