American Legion Auxiliary donates to Honor Flight

Gordon Woods / Journal The Clinton American Legion Auxiliary hosted Paul Kramer, board member of the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight, this week. The Auxiliary donated $1,200 to the Honor Flight program. Proceeds came from the group’s annual cinnamon roll fundraiser. Land of Lincoln Honor Flight flies veterans from Central Illinois to Washington, D.C. for a day to tour the city’s national memorials dedicated to American service personnel. The flights are free-of-charge for the veterans.

CLINTON — The American Legion Auxiliary recently held its annual cinnamon roll fundraiser.  The mission is to support veterans, youth, children and community.  This year we were able to raise $1,200 for Honor Flight.  Thee following businesses and individuals participated:  Altorfer -Jeff Doyle, Anderson Ford, Baum Chevrolet, Celebrate Clinton Central Illinois Ag, Clinton City Hall, Clinton IGA, Clinton Police Department, Dewitt County Circuit Clerk’s Office,  Dewitt County Circuit Judge’s Office, Dewitt County Clerk’s Office, Dewitt County Public Defender’s Office, Dewitt County Treasurer’s Office, Dewitt County Sheriff’s Department, Dewitt County State’s Attorney’s Office, Douglas Dodge, Edward Jones - Kim O’Donohue, EMT Office, First National Bank, Gibson Ace Hardware, Mark Griffin, Harbrand, Sharline Hoke, Dixie Lobb, Marco, Jan Page, Utterback Real Estate and Walker Tire.
