The Clinton Youth Initiative held its annual end of summer work banquet on July 28 at the First Christian Church. Back, left to right, Gage Guilliams, Coordinator Susan Cooper, Supervisor Ginny Carter, Isaiah Schutz, Destiny Detar. Youth Initiative perfoms various projects during a seven-week summer work schedule. Projects include clean up and making mulch at Clinton Lake, Weldon Springs State Recreation Area and Little Galilee Christian camp, moving and painting picnic tables at those locations, cleaning lockers at Clinton Elementary School, painting city curbs, helping at the Habitat for Humanity resale store and a number of other projects. The group also maintains a garden during the summer and works each month during the school year.
