CLINTON — Audrey Lou Fields, 91, of Clinton, and formerly of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at the Liberty Village of Clinton.

Funeral services for Audrey will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Green Mountain Church of Christ, in Green Mountain, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home, in Marshalltown.

Audrey Langbehn was born on March 29, 1931, in Watertown, S.D. to Harold John and Bessie Olive (Furney) Langbehn. She graduated from Green Mountain High School. On July 2, 1949, Audrey was united in marriage to Delbert Fields, in Marshalltown. They called Marshall County home until 1994 when they moved to Clinton.

Audrey previously worked for the Marshall County Care Facility as a nurse’s aide. She enjoyed reading; playing the organ and sitting outside on her swing, watching the traffic go by. Audrey will be remembered for being very caring to her family and friends and even stayed with an elderly gentleman in his home to help look after and take care of him.

Audrey is survived by her children, Albert Fields, of Marshalltown; Garry Fields, of Gladbrook; and Randy (Veronica) Fields, of Petersburg, Ill.; grandchildren, Jacob (Laura) Fields, Bill (Danielle) Fields, Jason Fields and Lora (Ben) Ellingson. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Joshua Fields, Owen Fields, Grayson Fields, Ambrose Ellingson, Eva Ellingson, Emerson Fields, and Lincoln Fields, as well as her brother, Harold Langbehn.

Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert; parents, Harold and Bessie; sister, Eunice and brother, Johnny.
