WAPELLA — Betty Ann Woollen, 94, of Wapella, passed away on October 31, 2016, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, Ill.
A memorial service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on June 24, 2017, at the Wapella Christian Church.
Betty was born on December 30, 1921, in Clinton, the daughter of Walter H. and Evelyn J (Connor) Lane. She married Leslie R. Woollen on August 8, 1942, in Clinton. He passed away on December 17, 2014.
Survivors include children, Judith A. (David John), Followell, Decatur, Ill.; Joan (Terry) Rousey, Floyds Knobs, Ind.; Janis (Bill) Ellis, Wapella; Tim (Dawn) Woollen, Phoenix, Ariz.; Joe Woollen, Phoenix, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and one sister, Patricia Ayers, Raleigh, N.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and one sister.
Betty had a healthy and wonderful 94 years, for which her family is so grateful. She is so loved and missed.
