After a good weekend on the diamond, the Clinton Junior High School
(CJHS) Lady Maroons met up with its arch nemesis, the Argenta-Oreana Lady
Bombers, on Aug. 7. The Lady Bombers continue to be a thorn in
the side of the home team.
The Lady Bombers struck early on a lead-off triple by their
pitcher and never looked back. The opposition added 2 more runs in the
third inning before the home team cut into the lead in the fourth with
one run. The Lady Maroons lost focus in the 6th inning, allowing the Lady Bombers to score 6 runs before being able to score one
more run of their own in this 2-11 loss.
The team is now 2-1 on the season.
