CLINTON — Brian Scott Thayer, son of Marie (Campbell) Thayer and Larry Thayer, was born on January 20, 1959, and met them in Heaven on December 1, 2022.
Scott was a middle child, wild, crazy, and competitive in all that he did. He is the first of his siblings, Michael Lynn Thayer, Barbara Pastore, Lisa Lueras, and Chuck Thayer, to make this journey. He takes a piece of their hearts with him.
Scott’s first love was sports. He played basketball until he couldn’t. He built bikes and raced them. He rode bulls and horses. He lived and breathed baseball and softball, coaching and playing! He loved the Cardinals and the Eagles and didn’t care who liked it.
Scott’s greatest love was his children, Jeremy Thayer, Brian Thayer, Jonathan Thayer and Gary Thayer. He was so proud!
They were his heart until he had grandchildren! Caleigh, Keaton, Dominick, Brayden, Aubrey, Dawson, and Kloey brought a love to his heart that he had never known was possible. He would have loved Christian. Keaton will be bringing Scott’s first great-grandchild into the family in 2023. We will welcome and love baby Kai and tell him all the wonderful things about Grandpa Scott.
The family is having a memorial service on Friday, December 9, from 5-7 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, on Elizabeth Street, Clinton. All are welcome.
