FARMER CITY — Bruce A. Wilson, 69, of Farmer City, passed away at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 23, 2018, at Warner Hospital & Health Services, Clinton.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with Greg Taylor officiating.  Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the Bruce A. Wilson memorial fund.

Bruce was born on December 10, 1948, in Clinton, son of Gerald Wayne and Shirley Colleen (Mattix) Wilson.  He married Susan Goode on September 26, 1970, in Weldon.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Wilson, Farmer City; children, Geoff (Kathy) Wilson, Clinton; Courtney Wilson, Champaign; Eric (Brooke) Wilson, Clinton, and Brad (Abby) Wilson, East Peoria, Ill.; three grandchildren, Emily Wilson, Liam Wilson, and Jaxon Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Carmen Goodmon.

Bruce was a farmer, a past volunteer firefighter, in Weldon, past-Nixon Township treasurer, past-president of the local Agriculture Movement past-member of the DeWitt County board, past-president of the Weldon Elevator Co-op, and past-member of the Weldon Lions Club.  HE was also a past Little League and YMCA coach.  Bruce also loved animals.
