CLINTON — DeWitt County Circuit Clerk Michelle Van Valey announced Thursday she would run for reelection in 2020.
Van Valey cites reduction in office staff, implementation of Civil E-Filing and implementation of Criminal and Traffic Assessment as accomplishments during her first term as circuit clerk.
She served as Deputy Family Clerk with the county for three years and in the State's Attorney's Office for 15 years. Van Valey and her husband James are DeWitt County natives and have four children, Brad Van Valey, Justin Van Valey, Colton Alexander and Collin Alexander.
