CLINTON — A city beautification meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 15, at Clinton American Legion hall. Giesle Hamm, manager of the “Mapping the Future of Your Community” program for the Illinois Institute for Rural Affairs, will present the program. Hamm is a Clinton native and retired teacher.
Hamm will address a number of often asked questions, including questions about cost, benefits, visions, goals and expected outcomes. She also will talk about examples of other communities that have initiated the beautification program in their towns, including Argenta, Assumption, Windsor and other central Illinois communities.
The event is free, and anyone interested is encouraged to attend.
