CLINTON — The weather has been tough with some practices and camps going inside behind locked doors, but the junior high softball team has hit the jackpot on weather.
There was some cooler air in the mornings last week, and the tryouts today (Monday, July 24) was just right. There were 22 young softball ladies in attendance for the event.
The team appeared to have good depth at every position. And, there were four batteries of pitchers and catchers.
Overall the team showed some exceptional talent, and some players who are beginning, but picking up the fundamentals quite well. This season looks promising for the junior high softball team.
