CLINTON — On a warm afternoon before the great “heat wave of 2023,” the Lady Maroons, of Clinton Junior High (CJHS), faced the Lady Bombers, of Argenta-Oreana. 

The game started well, with the home team scoring a run in the first inning and then adding two more runs in the second.  However, in the top of the third inning, the Lady Bombers came alive, scoring three runs to tie the game and then added two more insurance runs in the fourth inning to retake the lead.
