CLINTON — In the OKAW Conference Tournament consolation bracket, the Clinton Junior High (CJHS) Lady Maroons were paired with the Shelbyville Lady Rams whom they had soundly beaten earlier in the season.

The first quarter had Maroon fans wondering as the Lady Rams took an early 2-point lead.  The second quarter brought relief to the hometown crowd as the Lady Maroons warmed up and set the court afire.

The Lady Maroons scored 22 points while holding the Lady Rams to 2 points.  The home team had the offense and defense sizzling.

In the second half, things settled into a slower pace with both teams scoring 8 points in the third quarter.  The Lady Rams then fought back in the fourth quarter to outscore the hometeam but just by 3 points, giving the Lady Maroons third place in the tournament with a 45-30 win.

The home team was led by Sophie Thrasher (#25) with 20 points (including 2 three pointers) followed by Delaney Dempsey (#35) with 10 points.
