The Clinton Fire Department recently received $2,500 from area farmer Don Fugate as a farmer-directed donation through the Monsanto “America’s Farmers Grow Communities Fund.” While the department has not marked the funds for a specific purpose, police and fire commissioner Dan Ballenger said the money could go to help build the CFD fire training facility.
