PEARL CITY, Hawaii — Corwin Hubert Trummel, 77, of Pearl City, Hawaii, passed away on November 1, 2017, in Pearl City.
Corwin was born in Lane, Ill. He retired as an electrician from Hawaii State University. He was honored by the State of Hawaii for his services and art creations at the Waikiki, Aquarium, Honolulu.
He worked at Dellingham, owned his own business and was a Naval nuclear submarine electrician at the Bay of Tonkin during the Vietnam War.
He survived by his wife Helga E. Trummel; brother Don Lee Trummel; sister Susan (Roger) Wilson; grandchildren Tanya (Art) Lopez, Darcy McKay, Monty McKay, and great-granddaughter Tabitha Zuniga.
His stepson Detlef McKay, parents Harold and Oma Trummel and brother Robert Trummel preceded him in death.
Services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 12, in the Makai Chapel at Mililani Memorial Park, Waipio. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. and memorial service at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the National Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl, Honolulu, Hawaii.
