WELLINGTON, Colo. — Cory Michael Ryerson, 37, of Wellington, Colo., formerly of Clinton, passed away 4:19 a.m. on January 1, 2018, at his family residence, Wellington.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with Ernie Harvey, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be held from 10–11 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the Cory Michael Ryerson Memorial Fund.
Cory was born on August 10, 1980 in Pontiac, Ill., the son of Paul K. and Julie A. (Slown) Ryerson.
Survivors include his parents; Paul K. and Julie A. Ryerson, Clinton; girlfriend, Karina Garcia, Wellington, Colo., and her son, Isiah; siblings; Jeremy Ryerson, Morgantown, W.Va.; and Eric Ryerson, St. Joseph, Ill.; niece, Callie Ryerson, St. Joseph, Ill.; and grandmother, Wanda Slown, Pontiac, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents.
Cory was an Eagle Scout and worked in the oil and gas industry for the last 10 years. He enjoyed playing sports, football, and baseball. Cory also enjoyed the outdoors, especially the mountains in Colorado.
