In an effort to be especially transparent, I’m sharing with you our concerns over additional shipments of vaccine.  We currently only have enough vaccine to provide for our clinics scheduled Monday and Tuesday this week (2/22/2021).  We were expecting a shipment of doses through the Illinois Department of Public Health last week, but due to the winter storm, that shipment was delayed and is expected now this week.  I have been told it will arrive “before Tuesday,” but we are relying very heavily now on its receipt to be able to continue.

At our current pace, we are vaccinating around 1650 per week.  This week’s scheduled delivery was 200 doses, and next week’s scheduled delivery is 300 doses.  We will be unable to maintain our current pace. As such, we will not be able to load any additional SignUpGenius links for new appointment slots until more vaccine becomes available.

We are imploring now upon your compassion, if you have scheduled a FIRST DOSE appointment and are not considered vulnerable AND age 65 or older, please consider canceling your appointment this week.  Wait for more SignUpGeniuses to come soon and re-schedule your appointment at that time.  Please email us of your cancellation so we can change our appointment schedule.

Our priority now will be appointments for SECOND DOSES only. We plan to continue to vaccinate only SECOND DOSE appointments until we receive more vaccine.

Additional vaccination information is located here: https://www.dph.illinois.gov/covid19/vaccine-faq and

PLEASE continue to practice our prevention protocol:  WASH your hands frequently, WEAR a mask when in public, WATCH your distance (maintain a 6 ft distance), don't attend or host gatherings, and shelter vulnerable populations.
