CLINTON — D. Jean Juliuson, formerly of Clinton, passed from this earthly life and slipped peacefully into eternity during her sleep on March 28, 2019.  She had been ill for about a week.

Born to H. Orville Harper and Gayle F. (Kreider) Harper in Avon, Ill. on December 23, 1935, Jean grew up in the Cuba, Ill. area.  She graduated from Cuba High School.  Jean married P.O. Victor Juliuson on April 25, 1953.  He passed away in 2009.  In this union, they were blessed with three children, Mark, Pam and Michelle.

Jean worked at Decatur Memorial Hospital for most of her adult life as an administrative secretary, retiring after 42 years.  One of her favorite pastimes was working crossword puzzles.  She was rarely without a crossword puzzle book in her hand.

She loved the warmth of Florida and rarely made it back to Illinois in recent years.

Jean is survived by her daughters, Pam (Rodney) Rogers, of Clinton; Michelle LeBeau, of Arcadia, Fla.; one sister, Jane (Ken) Reneau, of Lewistown; nine grandchildren, Derek (Ashley) Rogers, Alex (Jenny) Rogers, Kirsten (Josh) Arellano, Mattie (Josh) Dubson, Kate Rogers, Robyn (Brian) Writz, Cain (Becky) Smith, Logan LeBeau and Luke (Ashley) LeBeau, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Her parents, two brothers and a son preceded her in death.

Jean chose to be cremated and will be buried in Woodlawn Cemetery.  Graveside memorial services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on June 15, 2019.

Memorials may be made to Second Chance for Pets, P.O. Box 243, Clinton, IL 61727.  Jean was definitely a dog lover.
