CLINTON— The last day to purchase tickets for the DCRA dinner theatre is next Friday, October 18. Tickets for the comedy/dinner theater The Dixie Swim Club are $40 and are available at Graves Stationers, the Chamber of Commerce, Green Acres Realty, and the Edward Jones office on the north side of the square or online credit card sales at dewittcountyrestoration.com.
The production is at the Clinton American Legion Hall on Friday, October 25, and Saturday, October 26. Doors open at 5, dinner at 6, and the play starts at 7 p.m. The wacky comedy by the writers of TV’s Golden Girls features the four of the annual reunions of a championship swim team over a period of more than 30 years, from their 40s to their 70s.
Playing the five members of the team are (back row, left to right) Amy Robinson as the accident-prone Vernadette, Andi Case as Dinah the high-priced lawyer, and Amber Brinkoetter as the man-eating, youth-obsessed Lexie. Front row are Tracey Van Zee as the swim captain and perennial organizer Sheree and Jessica Devore as the bubbly nun Jeri, who surprises her friends with some of her life choices.
