Ronald Devore and Marjorie Parker were married by Dr. Philip R. Coen on Aug. 10, 1958 at the Clinton Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Devore was in the U.S. Army, serving in Korea, and was employed for more than 43 years by the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. He was first a fireman and then an engineer.
Mrs. Devore is a graduate of Millikin University and a retired physical education teacher.
The Devores have one son, Steven Parker Devore, his wife Jessica, three grandchildren, Cady, Gavin and Vanessa, and two great grandchildren, Cayleigh and Ryker.
The Devores are lifelong residents of Clinton, living 20 months in Decatur in 1958-59.
Both of the Devores have been active in the community, in the Presbyterian Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and other patriotic and civic organizations.
They reside at 816 W. Woodlawn in Clinton, having lived there 48 years.
