DeWitt/Piatt Testing Numbers:
12/28/2020 Monday
DeWitt: 1 new case in Wapella.
Piatt: 4 new cases in Monticello. 3 new cases in Mansfield. 2 new cases in Milmine. 1 new case in Bement.
12/29/2020 Tuesday
DeWitt: 6 new cases in Clinton. 6 new cases in Farmer City. 1 new case in Lane.
Piatt: 5 new cases in Monticello. 1 new case in Mansfield. 1 new case in White Heath.
With these additional cases, DeWitt Co has had a total of 931 cases; Piatt Co has had a total of 1076 cases.
DeWitt Co has had a total of 19 deaths. Piatt Co has had a total of 7 deaths. We continue to monitor an outbreak at the Piatt Co Nursing Home.
We have received additional doses of vaccine, but these doses remain for priority audiences as defined by the federal government beginning with front-line healthcare workers. We will continue to alert the public as additional priorities are announced.
IDPH Update: 12/30/2020
Public Health Officials Announce 7,374 New Cases of Coronavirus Disease
SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) today reported 7,374 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Illinois, including 178 additional deaths.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 955,380 cases, including 16,357 deaths, in 102 counties in Illinois. The age of cases ranges from younger than one to older than 100 years. Within the past 24 hours, laboratories have reported 74,573 specimens for a total 13,178,017. As of last night, 4,244 in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19. Of those, 882 patients were in the ICU and 496 patients with COVID-19 were on ventilators.
The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases as a percent of total test from December 23 – December 29, 2020 is 7.6%. The preliminary seven-day statewide test positivity
