CLINTON — Donald L. “Donny” Underwood, 60, of Clinton, passed away at 6:35 a.m. on August 11, 2017, at his family residence, Clinton.

A celebration of his life will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at the United Methodist Church, Clinton, with the Rev. Randy Myers officiating.  Inurnment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Waynesville, at a later date. Visitation will be from held from 2–4 p.m. at the church.  Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, assisted the family with cremation rites.

 Memorials may be directed to the Donald L. Underwood memorial fund.

Donny was born on August 25, 1956, in Lincoln, Ill., the son of Edward and Lucinda (Baker) Underwood.  

Survivors include his siblings,  Bobby (Pamela Sue) Baker, Lincoln, Ill.; Phyllis Underwood, Margaret Finn, Jackie Underwood and Susie Underwood, all of Clinton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Gene Underwood; sister-in-law, Lois Underwood; and two nieces,  Jennifer and Tammy.

Donny delivered papers and mowed lawns with his sister, Susie.  He also worked at Steri-cycle.  He loved to read and watch history movies.
