YELLVILLE, Ark. — Donald Robert Hoffman, Sr., age 81, of Yellville, Ark., formerly of Clinton, passed away on Tuesday August 25, 2020, at his home.
Donald was born on September 19, 1938, in Clinton, to the late Robert Frederick “Sonny” and Geneva (Conover) Hoffman.
Donald was a United States Navy veteran. He had been employed as an iron worker, and he helped build Walt Disney World, in Orlando, Fla. in the early 1970s.
He and his wife, Martha, had just recently moved to the Yellville area from Clinton, where he was a member of Woodlawn Church of God. He loved his church and his Lord. His hobbies included flat track motorcycle racing, fishing, and eating chocolate – he was known to his friends as “Chocolate Bob.” He had many special friends.
Mr. Hoffman is survived by his wife, Martha, of the home; his son Donald Hoffman (Tammy) of Yellville, Ark.; one granddaughter Brittney Dalton; and two great-granddaughters: Gretchen Rhea-Ann Dalton, and Emoreigh Layne Dalton.
He was preceded in death by he parents; his son Michael Hoffman; his brother Paul, and his sisters, Susie and Diane.
