CLINTON— Dorothy A. Harris, 85, of Clinton, passed away at 3:38 a.m. on December 15, 2020, at Manor Court, Clinton.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation will be held from 10–11 a.m. on  Saturday at the funeral home. The family requests casual attire for all guests.

Memorials may be directed to the Clinton Assembly of God Church.

Dorothy was born on June 26, 1935, in Hodgenville, Ky.,  the daughter of John and Carrie (Whitlock) Underwood. She married George R. Harris on November 23, 1957, in Campbellsville, Ky.

Survivors include her husband, George R. Harris, Clinton; children, Dennis (Lori) Harris, Clinton; Tina (Randy) Turley, Clinton; Tony (Cherie) Harris, Clinton; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Lucille Whiteman, Lincoln, Ill.; Joe Underwood, Clinton; and daughter-in-law, Penny Harris, Lincoln, Ill.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, son, Richie Harris, and sisters, Margie Singer; Alice Curry, brothers, Hatton Underwood, Harvey Underwood, Alvie Underwood, Lewis “Red” Underwood, and Howard “Shorty” Underwood.

Dorothy was a member of the Clinton Assembly of God Church.  She was an avid guitar player.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
