CLINTON — Dorothy Janis (Huffman) DeVisser, 92, of Clinton, passed away 5:05 a.m. September 22, 2019, at Generations at McKinley Court, Decatur, Ill.
Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2019, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3955 Lourdes Drive, Decatur, with Bishop Mark Tonelli officiating. Private family graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at Monticello Township Cemetery, Monticello, Ill.
Visitation will be held from 6–7 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2019, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Decatur. The family has entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with arrangements.
Memorials may be directed to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Perpetual Education Fund.
Dorothy was born on December 25, 1926, in Clinton, the daughter of Charles A. and Ruth E. (Smith) Huffman. She married Christian DeVisser June 19, 1964, in Salt Lake Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. He passed away October 9, 2011.
Survivors include her brother-in-law, Col. Emerson Loveland, South Jordan, Utah and several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Helen Loveland, Doris Huffman Barber and brother, Paul Randall Huffman.
Dorothy was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Decatur, Ill.
