BLOOMINGTON — Douglas Kent Harris, 57 of Bloomington, passed away at 4:05 p.m. on September 6, 2017 at his family residence, Bloomington.
Private family services will be at a later date. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
Douglas was born on May 10, 1960, in Clinton, the son of H. Duane and Rita (Maurer) Harris.
Survivors include his father, H. Duane Harris, Clinton; siblings, Stan (Pam) Harris, Bloomington, and Jill (Chad) Martin, Clinton; several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his mother and infant twin sons, Andrew D. Harris and Kent K. Harris.
Douglas was a pilot who flew MD-80 series aircraft for Midway Airlines and then retired from American Airlines. He loved Cardinal Baseball, cats and Ft. Lauderdale by the sea. Douglas cherished his friendship with Jim Ensign and enjoyed reconnecting with high school friends. He was very patriotic.
