CLINTON — Douglas Lee Boyum, 79, of Clinton, passed away at 8:55 p.m. on November 22, 2018, at Manor Court, Clinton.
No services are planned. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with arrangements.
Doug was born on August 10, 1939, in Rushford, Minn., a son to Arnold and Helen (Lee) Boyum. He married Regina (Geney) Tally on July 13, 1961, in Springfield, Ill.
He is survived by his wife, Geney, and three daughters, Mikki (Brian) Pruser, Clinton; Stevi (Keith) Godin, Port St. Joe, Fla.; and Andi (Corey) Case, Clinton; eight grandchildren, Paris (P.J.) Brown, Mahx Godin, Sam Godin, Jake Godin, Faith Pruser, Mikah Maduzia, Lukah Case and Callahan Case, and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Doug served in the U.S. Navy for four years after high school graduation before beginning an apprenticeship with the Operating Engineers Local 965 from which he retired in 2000.
Doug enjoyed rebuilding antique cars, riding motorcycles and watching the Chicago Cubs.
He had a wonderful sense of humor and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
