BROOKINGS, Ore. — Earl “Pete” Wendell Miller Sr., 78, passed away in Brookings, Ore. on Monday, May 23, 2022, while visiting his daughters.
Earl is the son of the late Earl Miller and Muvilda “Betty” Horness Miller. He was born in Middletown, Ill.
Over the past 20 years, he lived in West Bend, Wis., where he worked for Washington County Shared Ride Taxi.
Earl is survived by his brother Joseph (Phyllis) Miller, Lincoln; sons Earl Miller Jr., Clinton, Richard (Bonnie) Miller, Lincoln, Phillip Miller, West Bend, Wis.; daughters Sonja Miller, Brookings, Ore., Dawn Miller, Knoxville, Tenn., Lisa Miller, Brookings, Ore., Dayton Miller, West Bend, Wis. (grandson). He also has 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews including special niece Debra Bradburn who spent the last six months caring for him.
Earl enjoyed watching cooking shows on TV, reading Western books, and listening to classic country music. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially sitting at the kitchen table drinking coffee and reminiscing about old times with family, and his dog Honey “Choppy.”
Earl was proceeded in death by his parents, sisters Nellie Tisdale, Mary Ann Hopp, Linda Reynolds, granddaughter Trinity, great-grandsons Javier and Xavier, and great-granddaughter Dakota.
The family expresses sincere gratitude to Curry Medical Center and Redwood Memorial Chapel in Brookings, OR.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Aug. 13, 2022 from 1-4 p.m. at Fraternal Order of Eagles #2708 which is located at 1621 N. Kickapoo St., Lincoln, IL. There will be a dinner provided.
