CLINTON — Edna L. Carter, 84, of Clinton, passed away at 9:04 a.m. on August 12, 2019, at her family residence, Clinton.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 16, 2019, at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with Kamden Trummel officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation will be 5–7 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2019, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the Edna L. Carter memorial fund.
Edna was born on January 22, 1935, in Clinton, the daughter of George Hamilton and Blanche (Tudor) Ray. She married Delmar Dean Carter on February 19, 1954, in Clinton. He passed away on January 10, 2017.
Survivors include her children, Tony Dean Carter, Ronald Carter and Liana Carter, all of Clinton; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister, Virginia Patterson, Clinton.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Dorothy Strange.
Edna enjoyed cooking and ballroom dancing. Spending time with her family was the most important part of her life.
