A house was destroyed by fire in the 4500 block of State Highway 48 in Weldon on July 28. A Clinton fire department aerial truck sprays water on the fire. Departments from Weldon, Cisco, DeLand, Farmer City and Maroa also responded. No injuries reported, but the woman who lived in the home lost her dog in the fire, and the home's contents was also lost, according to a local resident.
