Posted

CLINTON — On Thursday, July 1, during the annual Clinton Chamber Business Expo, the First National Bank of Clinton (FNB) received an award from Clinton AMVETS Post 14.

Post 14 received several awards at this year’s Illinois AMVETS convention, held in the spring.  First National Bank & Trust was among the five awards that the post received or nominated others to receive.

The bank was awarded Outstanding Business of the Year for its support of AMVETS Post 14 and the community.  Of the approximately 100 AMVET posts in Illinois, only four businesses in the state are awarded.  Josh Shofner, Rachael Costello, and Rhett Hillard received the award for the bank.

Other awards received by Post 14, or awards the post nominated others for, were the Commander’s Award (Category 2) given to outstanding posts, Scout Achievement Award, for support of the local Boy Scouts. The Scout/Explorer Award went to Kyle Hendriex, of Clinton, and Bob Pakidis was awarded Post 14 AMVET of the Year.
