Ford contest winner picks up car at Anderson's

CLINTON — Mike Haller, of Pekin was the winner of the Ford Performance Rally Call Sweepstakes earlier this year.  Hall won a new 2018 Ford Mustang EcoBoost Premium convertible.  But, in addition to winning the car, it was Haller’s call on where he would pick the car up.

On Tuesday, Haller traveled to Clinton to pick up his new car from the dealer he designated, Anderson Ford.

Haller spotted the Rally Call contest in a “Fast news from Ford Performance” e-newsletter that is emailed to nearly 250,000 people every Thursday.

“Really?  That’s awesome,” Haller said after being notified that he had won.

The win was especially perfect for Haller, who already was a Ford owner and Mustang enthusiast; he owns a Mustang Shelby, his son a Mustang Mach I.

Haller received the keys to his new Mustang at Anderson’s on what also just happened to be National Mustang Day.

Haller was able to custom order the new car the way he wanted it, and it took about seven week to arrive at Anderson’s, said Anderson general sales manager Dean Carlson.

John Clor, Ford Performance Enthusiast Communications Manager, also was present to meet Haller when he picked up his car on Tuesday.  It was a special treat for Anderson’s owner Randy Anderson, who has been friends with Clor for nearly 20 years.

A Ford Performance dealer, Anderson said everyone at the dealership was passionate about Mustangs, and he said it was a unique opportunity to be able to deliver Haller’s new car and have his friend John Clor there for the event.
