FARMER CITY — Frieda Marie Whitehouse, 87, of Farmer City and Clinton, passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2022, at St. Clara’s Rehabilitation and Senior Center, Lincoln.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City, with Ernie Harvey, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Farmer City. Visitation will be held from 10–11 a.m. on Friday June 17, 2022, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Frieda was born on September 28, 1934, in Mt. Vernon, Ill., a daughter of Pleasant P. and Goldie Mae Harvey Minor. She married Orval L. Chapman. He preceded her in death. She later married William E. Alvis. He preceded her in death. She later married Ronald Junior Whitehouse. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Sherry) Chapman, of Clinton; two stepsons, Randy (Cathy) Whitehouse and Robert (Rita) Whitehouse; stepdaughter, Theresa (Max) Swango; two grandchildren, Megan (Tony) DeFazio and Matthew Chapman; step-grandchildren Zach Whitehouse, Brady (Emily) Whitehouse, Dustin (Caroline) Whitehouse, and Breanna (Cody) Ward; four great-grandchildren, Laila DeFazio, Gigi DeFazio, Vinny DeFazio, and Ehvi Chapman; and several step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; stepson, Rick Whitehouse; two brothers; and one sister.
Frieda retired from Eureka-Williams, in Bloomington. She attended Trinity Community Fellowship, in Farmer City, and First Christian Church, in Clinton.
Frieda was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished time with her family.
