WAPELLA — George H. Westbrook, 89, of Wapella, passed away at 10:46 a.m. on July 19, 2019, at Manor Court, Clinton.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 22, 2019, at Long Point Cemetery, Wapella, with Rev. Richard Gray officiating. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with arrangements.
Memorials may be directed to Dewitt County animal shelter.
George was born on January 31, 1930, in Wapella, the son of George and Emma (Mearida) Westbrook.
Survivors include his adopted son, Kevin Lloyd Westbrook, of Wapella.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bernard Westbrook.
George worked for the Mclean County Highway Deptartment for more than 30 years. He enjoyed collecting post cards and taking photographs.
