CLINTON — The new and improved COVID-19 sports fall schedule for Clinton High School begins this week for the golf team and this coming week for the cross-country team.

Football this school year will be a spring sport to start next February.

The golf team has been practicing at the Clinton Country Club, as well as the cross country team.

As for the golf team, there are currently eight young men on the team.  The team lost three to graduation and one deciding not to return to competition this year.

There are three new freshmen on the team and three others who are playing in competition for the first time this season.  Coach Clint Lichtenwalter said there are several good golfers on the team, so he is hopeful for a good season.

Also, the season has been cut by seven matches since  the team can only compete with conference teams, and those have to be within our state-assigned COVID-19 district.
