RICHMOND, Va. — Gregory William Kropp married Alice Marian Peithman on August 21, 1973, in the Farmer City, Ill. at the United Methodist Church. Greg died on August 21, 2017, at MCV hospital in Richmond, Va. on their 44th anniversary.
Greg was born on September 24, 1945, to Campbell Elliott Kropp and Eleanor Gregory Kropp of Nebraska City, Neb. Greg’s sister Carolyn Kropp lives in Denver, Colo.. Greg and Alice have three children, William Gregory Kropp (Tonya Kropp), Marian Alice Kropp (Jennifer Jackson) and Robert Warren Louis Kropp. The grandchildren are Miranda, Mikayla, Melody, Miles, Campbell and Lillian. Greg attended the University of Nebraska and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Va. with a bachelor’s degree.
Greg was a member of the U.S. Civil Service and worked for the Department of the Army for 37 years. The Greg Kropp family are members of Second Presbyterian Church, 419 W. Washington Street, Petersburg, VA 23803, where the memorial service will be held on Friday, August 25, 201,7 at 4 p.m., with a reception to follow in the church McIlwain Hall.
Memorials may be made to Second Presbyterian Church or to the charity of one’s choice. Burial will be private. Our family are among the many who value Psalm 23.
