CLINTON — Harold “Jack” Bray, 74, of Clinton, passed away at 7:59 p.m. on December 3, 2018, at the Warner Hospital and Health Services, Clinton.
A time to celebrate Jack’s life will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton.
Memorials may be directed to the Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation, 12151 Avenue of the Chiefs, Crazy Horse, S.D. 57730-8900 or the Jack Bray memorial fund.
Jack was born on January 9, 1944, in Bloomington, Ill., the son of Albert and Violet (Rodgers) Bray. He married Erma L. Waters on September 1, 1972, in Weldon.
Survivors include his wife, Erma L. Bray, Clinton; children, David A. (Annabell) Wilson, Ft. Worth, Texas; Angie M. Bray, Flagstaff, Ariz.; Stephanie D. Scott, Salem, IL; Amy L. (Rob) Stephens, Bloomington, Ill.; Andrew J. Bray, Bloomington, Ill.; and Jacque L. Drake, Bloomington, Ill.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Tom (Thora) Bray, Clinton; Wanda (Roger) Mix, Clinton; Helen Wilson, Clinton; Dennis (Carol) Bray, Clinton; Norma (Ron) Brown, Bloomington; and two special kids, Murphy Leigh and Lucy Bell.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Robert Dean Bray.

Jack “Big Bear” Bray an FCF Wilderness Member, was rough, rugged, tough, was a man’s man but could be as gentle as a kitten and was one of the closets friends I have ever had.” “But the most beautiful things in life are not things, they’re people, and places, and memories, and pictures. They’re feelings, and moments, and smiles, and laughter. So, rejoice in the fact that he knew Jesus personally and has now met Him face to face.
