CLINTON — Helen Joan Defebaugh, 79, of Clinton, passed away at 8:56 p.m. on December 28, 2019, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Decatur.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 3, 2020, at Macon County Memorial Park Cemetery, Harristown, Ill., with Pastor Nick Blacklidge officiating. Visitation will be held from 2–4 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with a service at 4 p.m.
Memorials may be directed to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Helen was born on July 22, 1940, in Maroa, the daughter of Clifford and Deloris E. (Hall) Garren. She married Robert Defebaugh in 1959.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Defebaugh, Clinton; children, Lorinda Defebaugh, Clinton; Curtis (Sonia) Defebaugh, Naples, Fla.; Martin (Phyllis) Defebaugh, Maroa; Shireena Defebaugh, Chicago; eight grandchildren, one great- grandchild; siblings, Richard Garren, Maroa; and Rose Coffman, Lincoln, Ill.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Darrell H. Garren; and brother, Roger D. Garren.
