CLINTON — Police and emergency personnel responded at about 2:25 p.m. on Monday to the scene of a hit and run accident near the post office on S. Quincy and  W. Main Streets.

Police released a photo asking for help locating a Chrysler PT Cruiser possibly involved in the accident.  Authorities later announced they had identified a suspect. 

No additional information was available about the driver of the vehicle or the pedestrian who was struck.
