CLINTON — James E. Cobb, 81, of Clinton, passed away at 5:02 p.m. on November 15, 2020, at Carle BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
Private graveside services will be conducted on Friday, November 20, 2020, at Baptist Cemetery, Kenney, with Cody Monkman officiating. There will be no visitation. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be directed to The Vault, Clinton.
James was born on November 30, 1938, in Clinton, the son of Edison E. and Dorothy (Lane) Cobb. He married B. Joan Bass on October 22, 1960, in Clinton. She passed away on February 5, 2011.
Survivors include his son, James Lee Cobb, Clinton; granddaughter, Raci (Shawn) Evans, Clinton; two great-grandchildren, Madison Gordon and Ellis Evans; and one brother, Bill (Judy) Cobb, Cave Creek, Ariz..
James was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Michael Allen Cobb, one brother, Don Cobb, and one sister, Clara Thompson.
James worked at Caterpillar for 35 years. He loved to bass fish.
