CLINTON — James E. Palmiter, 58, of Clinton, passed away at 2:11 a.m. on Sept. 9, 2017, at Bloomington Rehab Facility, Bloomington, Ill.
James was born on Mar. 6, 1959, in Carmi, Ill., the son of Donald Ray and Glenda Sue (Knight) Palmiter.
He was married to Rebecca Lynn (Lowe) Palmiter on May 11, 1982. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Crystal (Chris) Pence, Detroit, Mich.; Donald (Angelea) Palmiter, Johnney Lowe, Timothy Alwood and Sara Schlesinger, all of Clinton; his two loving sisters, Carla (Chuck) Richard, Gridley, Ill.; Becky (Dennis) Ballenger, Heyworth; one loving brother, Donald (Mary) Palmiter, of Florida.
Also are his 10 grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, grandparents, one sister, Brenda Kay Phillips, and one niece, Brandy Renee Richard.
He was a loving father, brother, grandpa and nephew. He knew no stranger, and he loved to hunt and fish. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Oct. 7, 2017, at Randolph Township Cemetery at 11 a.m.
