CLINTON — James M. Obermeyer, 74, of Clinton, passed away at 5:13 a.m. on January 3, 2022 at his family residence, Clinton.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on May 7, 2022, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton, with Ernie Harvey, Jr. officiating. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to Second Chance for Pets pet adoptions.

Jim was born on February 5, 1947, in Clinton, the son of Edmund and Carol (Dufner) Obermeyer. He married the former Linda Wolfe, of Clinton, in 1968, and later married Wanda Churchill, of LeRoy, Mich. She passed away in 2015.

Survivors include his two sons, Brett (Debbie) Obermeyer, Clinton; Brant (Jamie) Obermeyer, Clinton; grandchildren, Alexis Obermeyer, Knoxville, Tenn.; Amber, Sam, Sean Obermeyer, Bloomington; and Amber, Lily, Mia and Eden Obermeyer, Clinton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Obermeyer; sisters, Esto Belle Burger and Maxine Harris.

Jim was the owner of the Obermeyer Building at the corner of West Washington Street and North Grant Street that housed the Wash House and Milk House. He also owned and operated Obermeyer Transfer Company, being the third generation of movers.
