CLINTON — Janet Ann Ruyle, 80, of Kenney, passed away at 1:30 p.m. on August 16, 2021, at her family home, in Kenney.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with Mike Cahill officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Kenney. Visitation will be held from 5–7 p.m. on Friday, August 20, 2021, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the Janet Ruyle memorial fund.
Janet was born on September 12, 1940, in Sandoval, Ill., the daughter of Monroe and Wilma (Foltz) Pfeffer. She married Joseph Wardell Ruyle on October 21, 1983, in Heyworth. He passed away on March 7, 2012.
Survivors include her children, Denise (Rick) Johnson, Kenney; Bryan (Robyn) Schanafelt, Scottsdale, Ariz.; Sheila (Steve) Taylor, Miss.; stepchildren, Jeffrey W. Ruyle, Clinton; Kimberly Jo (Brian) Vinson, Camdenton, Mo.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Hintz, Sandoval, Ill.; and special brother, Roger Jones, Naples, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Janet and her husband Joe owned and operated The Depot, in Kenney, for more than 20 years. She enjoyed crocheting, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
