CLINTON — Joyce Idell Piatt, 86, of Clinton, Ill. passed away at 11:32 p.m. on February 2, 2018, at Manor Court, Clinton.
Visitation will be held from 10 – 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. Graveside services will follow at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton, with prayers given by J. Kent Hickerson.
Memorials may be directed to Second Chance Pet Adoption.
Joyce was born on September 22, 1931, in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of Merrill and Lida (McCord) Nebold. She married Robert E. Piatt on March 8, 1953, in Clinton. He passed away March 9, 2002.
Survivors include her children, John Piatt, Clinton, and David (Gail) Piatt, Farmer City;
three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three step-grandchildren; nine great-step-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law, Susan Piatt, and sister, Norma Nunnery.
Joyce worked for Dr. Myers and Dr. Veirs for several years. She enjoyed having lunch with her friends and classmates, cross-stitching and reading Stephen King novels. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and a die-hard Cubs' Fan. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Rauch, Manor Court and their wonderful staff.
