CLINTON — Karamay Onna-Louise Carter, 22, of Clinton, passed away at 7:15 a.m. on October 13, 2021, at Weldon Springs State Park, Clinton.
A celebration of Karamay’s life will be held from 6–9 p.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at the Clinton American Legion, 219 N. Elizabeth St. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, assisted the family with cremation rites.
Memorials may be directed to the Karamay Carter memorial fund checks payable to her mother, Raquel Warsaw.
Karamay was born on March 12, 1999, in Decatur, the daughter of Michael and Raquel (Belz) Carter.
Surviving are her father, Michael Carter, Clinton,; mother, Raquel (Michael) Warsaw, Paxton, Ill.; children, Paiseley Brewer and Kennedy Brewer, Clinton; brothers, Bret (Danielle) Kessinger, Los Fresnos, Texas; Dustin (Madyson) Kessinger, Paxton Ill.; and Richard Carter, Chicago, Ill.; sister, Isabelle Sinclaire, Clinton; maternal grandmother, Karaway Belz, Davenport, Iowa; step-grandmother, Sharon Cox, Champaign; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Donna Carter, and grandfathers, Richard Belz, and Delmar “Shad” Bateson.
Karamay loved her two little girls; they were the center of her life.
