CLINTON — Kenneth Wyman Burk, 81, of Clinton, passed away at 4:38 p.m. on January 24, 2019, at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.
Graveside Services with military honors will be conducted at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, at a later date. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, assisted the family with cremation rites.
Memorials may be directed to the American Breast Cancer Foundation.
Kenneth was born on March 25, 1937, in Peoria, the son of Wyman Elbert and Ella (Hudson) Burk. He married Ingeborg Janzer on August 13, 1960, in Schweinfurt, Germany. She passed away on July 8, 2014.
Survivors include his children, Dorothy Cockrell, Clinton, and Linda (Jeff) Bickford, Seattle, Wash.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold Burk, Phoenix, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Peggy Sullivan; two brothers, Jim Burk and Gary Burk; and one sister, Jo Anne Hackett.
Kenneth was in the U.S. Army for 20 years, serving in Vietnam and retired from Illinois Central Gulf Railroad after 20 years of service. He enjoyed working on and restoring clocks.
